About Fly The Ama

Our Vision

Fly The Ama Clothing was the vision of Derek Kane, new to paddling and the sport of Outrigger Canoe Racing in 2025. With a background in promotions and marketing while at his first race he noticed the need for casual clothing representing the sport of Ocean Paddling, as well as a small market for race day essentials! His dream was to create  an everyday clothing line showing off the wonderful sport and community of Outrigger Canoe Racing! In 2026 at the Crystal Pier Race in San Diego, CA his dream became a reality!

Fly The Ama is the start of a much bigger life long project, the upcoming website OutriggerCanoeLife.Com which is dedicated to the grow of the sport, providing club information, new paddler reference guides, history, racing news, and all the knowledge needed to become part of this amazing community!
